There was this mad crow at my house yesterday. I think it is having some mood swing. Cawing non-stop for like hours. And and and, it attacks anyone that walked past. I wasn't spared :(

I was walking home from the bus-stop. From the corner of my eye, I saw the mad crow perched at the playground, cawing. It kept staring at me as I approached the playground. Undaunted, I continued walking. It flew off only when I was about 1 arm's length away.

"Stupid crow got scared at last," I thought smugdedly.

Then I continued walking.. Walk walk walk.. Suddenly, my instincts said,"Dodge!".My mind was not even fast to process what's going on. Anyway, I dodged and looked up to see that bloody crow making a U-turn in the air.

The whole incident incensed me. Getting my file ready, I was going to smack the daylights out of it when it comes again. Irritating it may be, it has a certain amount of intelligence too. The bloody crow quickly made a detour into some tree when it saw me in that going-to-smack-anytime-position.

So I stood and stared at it. Almost daring it to come and try me again. But it never did. Realising that I look like an idiot standing in the middle of the path staring at a tree, I went home.

Although I don't have a strong dislike for them. I still dont like it when one tries to attack me :((((

I believe that half of the world have google bookmarked as their default search engine. Wheras the other half uses yahoo!. I've a question particularly for yahoo! users. Have you ever wondered what does yahoo! mean?

Prior to common knowledge, yahoo! is more than a name. In fact, Yahoo! is actually an acronym for "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle".

From http://netforbeginners.about.com/ -
The term "hierarchical" described how the Yahoo! database was arranged in directory layers. The term "oracle" was intended to mean "source of truth and wisdom". And "officious" described the many office workers who would use the Yahoo! database while surfing from work.

Interesting huh? Bet you didn't know there's such a deep meaning behind Yahoo! =D

Projects + Assignments = Busy

When someone is busy, it usually means that they do not have enough time to relax. As a result, they need to make full use of their time. One good example will be transportation time.

The average time a bus reaches the bus stop is 10-15 minutes. The average time a motorbike starts up is less than a minute. Depending on the weather and time of the day, additional 10minutes for warming up of engine.

The average speed a bus travels is around 50-60km/h. The average speed of a bike is 70-80km/h (usually more). Time taken to go to school with public transport = 30-45min. Time taken to go to school with bike = 10-15min.

Average number of days that I am late for school = 5 days a week. Always late by = 15-30 min. A bike saves a mininum of 15 minutes for transportation.

Simple calculation shows that I may be late by a maximum of 15minutes if I ride to school. Poly's policy = you can be late for a maximum of 15minutes. Otherwise marked as absent.

Another reason why I should get a bike (: Honday CBR 150!!!!!

Bundaberg Lemon Lime & Bitters~! Best drink in the world. This is my favourite drink ever since I tasted it. I think it's in sec 4.

I tell you, this is better than coffee and beer. It tastes simply heavenly. No words can describe the exact taste of this drink. The weird thing is, only the Cheers near my place sell it. I can't find it in other Cheers outlet!

Anyone who see this drink anywhere else, must tell me. It's a must-try-before-you-die!!

Why am I an Ah Beng?

After a thorough research with both google and yahoo, I have come to understand the meaning of "Ah Beng" and below are the summarize points.

  • Bad Dress Sense
  • Outrageously bleached or blonde-dyed hair
  • Excessively Flashy
  • Show-offs
  • Bad English
  • Crude, Foul-Mouthed
Out of the 6 points listed above, not even 1 describes me. In other words, I do not fit into the category of "Ah Bengs".

But the consensus among my friends is that I am indeed an Ah Beng. And the reasons giving were kind of lame. They include:

  • Long arms that may swing too much when you walk
  • The look on your face
  • Your eyes are very fierce when agitated
  • The way you behave
  • Your overall body language
Please tell me that those are lame reasons. There had been comments that my voice is gentle. Ah Bengs don't have a gentle voice! Moreover, I am not a habitual chain smoker!

If you can, please give me some concrete evidence that I am indeed an Ah Beng. If not, please stop saying that I am an Ah Beng when I'm like trying to be guai! T.T

To think with the mind, or feel with the heart?

Our mind is a powerful object that enables us to think and react. Our heart is just a piece of muscle that pumps blood around our body. But why is it that, our heart seems to be so much stronger sometimes?

Logical thinking tells you "A", yet your heart is persistant with "B". The obvious answer is "C", but your heart says "D". We've always heard about "mind over body" in endurance tests. But what about "mind over heart"?

To me, I doubt that it is possible. If you were to make a decision which your heart feels strongly against, you will learn to regret it. Your mind may win for the time being. But one day, you will look back and ask yourself ,"What if........"

That is how regrets come about in life.

You may not agree with me. It is fine. A series of personality tests tell me that I am a feeler, not a thinker. I tend to go with my intuition, not with logical thinking. Your mind may not always prevail. And your heart does not necessary fail. People with different personality sees things differently.

I am nearly 18 years old. Not exactly considered young and not exactly old either. I am proud to say that I have not had any regrets so far in my life. People say that I am too optimistic. If anything bad happens, I would just think on the bright side. Others say I am not matured enough to see the mess I am in. The old people would say "hai mei you kai qiao".

Honestly, I don't see anything wrong in a student from a prestigious secondary school going into a polytechnic. I don't see anything wrong in me not doing as well as people from neighbourhood schools. I don't think that my life is screwed up in any sense. In fact, I am enjoying myself.

"Life isn't all about enjoyment"

Whoever came up with that can jolly well commit sucide. Life is short. If we don't seize every opportunity and enjoy it, what's the purpose of life? The purpose of life is to enjoy the process of finding your purpose in life!

The older generation always have this saying of "xian tian hou ku" or "xian ku hou tian". It means that you will taste the sweetness of life first before tasting the bitterness of hardship or vice versa.

I think that it is utter rubbish. Surely we can find joy in the midst of sorrow. The reasons why some people always have a smile on their faces is not because they lead a blessed life. It is because they are able to see the beauty of life.

There is beauty even in the ugliest painting. There is a tinge of sweetness even in the most bitter medicine. There is light even in the darkest storm. It is up to us to find it, feel it and believe in it. That is how we should enjoy life. Why spend time being sad and emo when the time could be spent smiling? (:

Was super dulan/irritated/pek chek just now. Feeling better now after ranting away (: Thanks for your, erm... Entertainment/Ear? Hahah.

Had dinner with my family. It had been a while...

My mum ordered this giant ice kachang for $2.50

It's like so.. big. Hahaha. There's longan, nata de coco, jelly, fruits cocktail, sea coconut on top of the usual red beans and attap chee. However, i think one normal $1.50 ice kachang at changi village will let this $2.50 giant smell no smoke, aka pi bo yan.

If you were to do an ice-size analysis of the ice kachangs. The $2.50 one won't go through the 1.18mm sieve lo. But I tell you, the $1.50 one, smelly smelly also can go through the 600mm one. The ice is so fine la. Haha.

So right, many ingredients do not mean it will taste better. Still must look at the basic feel of the ice one. And the coarser the ice, the lousier it taste. It's just like communication! Coarse language will turn you off.

Official Launch of Centre of Innovation - Environmental Water Technology

I guessed the lack of sleep is affecting my eyes. They seemed to be smaller! Who to blame? I woke up at freaking 6 am. I don't remember ever waking up so early. Not even during my secondary school days.
